Faith in Action Sunday

​

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED!! Do you enjoy helping others? Can you spare 2 to 3 hours per week or month? Do you have a caring spirit? If so, Faith in Action needs YOU! Mileage reimbursement is provided! Click the link above for more information.

Ongoing Opportunities

Listed below are organizations and ministries in our communities that offer regular, ongoing opportunities for volunteer service. Please click the link to contact an organization directly.

Faith in Action

  • FIA provides services that support the independence and well-being of seniors age 60 and above. Volunteers are needed to help provide companionship, transportation, and assistance with running errands. 

 

Glen-Ed Food Pantry

  • Glen-Ed Food Pantry provides services to residents of Edwardsville School District #7. Volunteers are needed regularly, whether on an ongoing basis or for a one-time occurrence. 

 

Good Samaritan House

  • Good Samaritan is located in Granite City and serves as an emergency shelter for unhoused mothers and their children. Volunteers are needed to help with building projects, work with residents of the shelter, and help with office/clerical tasks.

 

Main Street Community Center

  • MSCC provides a variety of programs and services to adults age 50 and above, including home-delivered meals, transportation, health screenings, and recreational opportunities. Volunteers are needed to help with programs at the center and for meal delivery to seniors.

Mosaic Health

  • Mosaic is a life-affirming pregnancy center located in Granite City. Volunteers are needed to help with fundraising events, provide administrative help in the office, and work directly with women in need of services.

​

Restore Network

  • Restore Network takes care of foster families 'through trauma-informed training, wrap-around support, and relentless advocacy.' Volunteers are needed for special events, meal delivery, clothing delivery, and prayer support.

 

St. John's Mission Garden

  • The Mission Garden grows and gives away fresh produce to food pantries and soup kitchens in the community; volunteers are needed to help with gardening, picking produce, and delivering to pantries.
